The brochure “Support and Information for Victims of Gender Violence” was created by the Canadian agency in collaboration with the National Service for Women and Gender Equality and Fundación Honra.
The document, promoted by the Canadian Embassy in Chile, provides information on what gender-based violence is, where to report it, as well as resources for victims in English, French, and Spanish, in order to encourage the timely provision of information. In addition, the brochure mentions Fundación Amparo y Justicia as an entity that provides support to victims of sex crimes.
Regarding the collaboration between Fundación Amparo y Justicia and the Canadian Embassy, the vice-consul, Caroline Roy, said that “it is important for cooperation on this issue to be broad and diversified. National and local governments, NGOs, and companies must work together to fight against gender-based violence in order to prevent and eradicate it.”
On the occasion, the Foundation was also able to talk about the campaign “Do you know what to do if you find out about a sex crime against children or teens?”, which seeks to promote the reporting and knowledge of the rights of victims. We were also able to deliver the paperwork translated into English.
