{"id":20247,"date":"2025-05-29T10:54:28","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T14:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ayj.lajuguera.cl\/amparo-y-justicia-foundation-participates-as-a-speaker-in-international-seminar-on-sexual-crimes-and-cybersecurity\/"},"modified":"2025-05-29T10:54:28","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T14:54:28","slug":"amparo-y-justicia-foundation-participates-as-a-speaker-in-international-seminar-on-sexual-crimes-and-cybersecurity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ayj.lajuguera.cl\/en\/amparo-y-justicia-foundation-participates-as-a-speaker-in-international-seminar-on-sexual-crimes-and-cybersecurity\/","title":{"rendered":"Amparo y Justicia Foundation participates as a speaker in international seminar on sexual crimes and cybersecurity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Nearly 200 professionals participated in the international seminar \u201cConnected and at Risk: Cybersecurity Related to Sexual Crimes,\u201d organized by the Puerto Montt Sexual Offenses Investigation Brigade of the PDI and the San Sebasti\u00e1n University (USS), Patagonia campus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The event, held in the USS Aula Magna, brought together psychosocial teams, school coexistence staff, administrators from educational institutions in the Los Lagos Region, as well as officials and professionals from public institutions related to children and adolescents. ts goal was to provide tools and up-to-date knowledge on sexual crimes in digital environments, addressing topics such as the production, storage, and distribution of child pornography, <em>grooming<\/em>, and both national and transnational criminal activity associated with these practices.<\/p>\n<p>Among the guest speakers, Nicol\u00e1s Pietrasanta, Head of Research and Public Policy at Fundaci\u00f3n Amparo y Justicia, stood out with his presentation titled \u201cImpact of the Videorecorded Investigative Interview on the Prosecution of Sexual Crimes Against Children and Adolescents.\u201d During his presentation, he spoke about the positive effects of this technique on the criminal justice process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a valuable opportunity to reflect on the ongoing challenges posed by sexual crimes in digital environments and the need to strengthen interinstitutional collaboration to protect children. I had the chance to connect with people who are committed to preventing these forms of victimization and improving the system\u2019s response,\u201d said Nicol\u00e1s Pietrasanta.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar featured the participation of prominent national and international professionals, including Macarena Aramburu, researcher at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Carlos Colmenero Rodr\u00edguez, Regional Director of Operations in South America; Mauricio Araya Ortiz, commissioner of the PDI Cybercrime Brigade; Camila Astra\u00edn Rubio, researcher at the Center for Security and Organized Crime Studies; and Ana Mar\u00eda Ag\u00fcero Vel\u00e1squez, Deputy Prosecutor at the Los Lagos Regional Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>This training event is part of a series of activities jointly organized by the PDI and San Sebasti\u00e1n University.
