{"id":18341,"date":"2024-08-29T11:07:57","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T15:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ayj.lajuguera.cl\/amparo-y-justicia-expone-en-el-iv-congreso-de-la-sociedad-chilena-de-criminologia\/"},"modified":"2024-12-06T16:36:56","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T19:36:56","slug":"amparo-y-justicia-expone-en-el-iv-congreso-de-la-sociedad-chilena-de-criminologia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ayj.lajuguera.cl\/en\/amparo-y-justicia-expone-en-el-iv-congreso-de-la-sociedad-chilena-de-criminologia\/","title":{"rendered":"Amparo y Justicia presents at the IV Chilean Criminology Society Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The congress was attended by Foundation sociologist and researcher, Carolina Pavez, who gave a talk on: \u201cCriminal prosecution of sexual crimes against children and teens: current situation and challenges\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Chilean Criminology Society (Sochicrim) is currently holding its IV Congress, organized together with the Justice and Society Studies Center of Universidad Cat\u00f3lica.<br \/>One of the topics addressed this year was childhood and adolescence in criminal justice, a section that featured a presentation by Carolina Pavez, sociologist and researcher from Amparo y Justicia.<br \/>The expert spoke at the panel on \u201cChildhood, adolescence, and criminal procedure,\u201d with the presentation: \u201cCriminal prosecution of sexual crimes against children and teens: current situation and challenges.\u201d<br \/>\u201cIt was an honor to participate again as a speaker at the fourth year of Chilean Criminology Society Congress. This experience allowed me to share findings about the criminal prosecution of sex crimes against children and teens, as well as learn from other professionals in the field,\u201d the researcher said.<br \/>Pavez also expressed her gratitude \u201cfor the opportunity to contribute to discussions on new trends and challenges in criminology.
