Fundación Amparo y Justicia participates in intersectoral workshop to build a legislative agenda for children and adolescents

The Office of the Child Ombudsperson and Fundación Colunga presented the results of the study “Building a Legislative Agenda for Children and Adolescents”, which analyzed recently introduced and ongoing bills on this matter, identifying key gaps and opportunities to support their progress.

During the session, the Child Ombudsperson, Anuar Quesille; Pamela Meléndez, Director of Studies, Publications, and Statistics; and Katherine Llanos, Legislative Monitoring Officer — all from the Office of the Child Ombudsperson — presented the main findings of the study.

Subsequently, the participants took part in a workshop aimed at identifying improvements to enhance the relevance and impact of the bills, as well as to prioritize and promote their discussion within the legislative agenda.

The Head of Research and Public Policy at Fundación Amparo y Justicia, Nicolás Pietrasanta, highlighted that this was “a valuable opportunity to analyze the challenges we face as civil society in influencing public policies focused on children.”
